CUSTOM CLOSET FAQ
What does your free design consultation entail?
A: During our free in-home design consultation, we will meet with you at your house, measure your closet, and create a 3-D rendering of a design. Based on the space and your needs, we will create an initial closet design, which we can then refine until it is exactly what you are looking for.
My closet has a sloped ceiling / crawl space entry / awkward layout. Can you help me?
A: Yes! In 20 years we have seen it all and aren’t scared away by architectural features that make for challenging closet layouts. If you are faced with a less than ideal closet configuration, we can definitely help you maximize the space.
Can I customize the layout and features of my closet?
A: Our closet systems are fully customizable, allowing us to create designs for you that truly maximize space and efficiency because we aren’t limited to a set of standard-order sizes. This is one of the biggest benefits of opting for a custom closet versus cookie-cutter closet products sold at big box retailers.
Will you remove my old closet system?
A: Sure! We offer tear, patch, and paint services to remove old closet products and get the space ready for the new installation.
I live out of town. Can we do this remotely?
A: Many of our clients are second home owners who split their time between Steamboat Springs and elsewhere. We can complete both the design phase and the installation phase while you are out of town. We prioritize communication and send pictures and videos, so you are kept abreast during the entire process.

How long does design and installation take?
A: Designs can usually be completed in the home during the initial consultation if it is a smaller closet or within a couple days if we are designing all the storage spaces in the house. Likewise, length of installation also depends on the scope of the project, typically from 2-4 days for most projects.
Can I add on to my custom closet after it’s been installed?
A: Yes! Once the basic structure of the closet is in place, we can add doors, drawers, and additional shelves, adjust hanging, or add more hanging with relative ease.
