This week our suppliers rolled out some new finishes and features that have us excited about incorporating them into our upcoming designs.
Dune is the perfect natural wood grain, while Dusk is a grounding terra cotta color that offers a little pop without being overwhelming. And since we’ve been seeing reeded panels on all our Pinterest inspo boards (particularly for entryways and mudrooms), we’re loving the Reeded Slim profile!
Dune: Light Wood Finish for Airy Openness or Stark Contrast

Here in Steamboat, where our landscape often inspires folks toward darker and richer finishes, Dune’s natural wood tone would go well in a modern mountain home that is moving away from the lodge look.
It’s also a great option when you do have a lot of darker wood hues in your home, but prefer to contrast those tones rather than trying to match them.
And because it’s neutral and light, Dune makes a great base color to mix with our Mixology door and drawer fronts.
Dusk: Earthy Tones Get a Vibrant Uplevel

Dusk is the latest addition to our Mixology colors, accent colors for drawers and doors to create captivating two-toned designs. While it’s fun to incorporate these colors into closet designs, we especially love adding them into spaces in the home that get a little more traffic–namely mudrooms and entryways!
Your entryway is a place for stowing all your guests’ boots, jackets and hats, but it’s also the visual welcoming place of your home. Dusk has a warmth to it that can add an element of style to built-ins for coats and shoes. It’s a color that will compliment different shades of wood and work well in Steamboat homes.

Reeded cabinet doors and drawers have been trending this year in the cabinet space and we are excited to bring them into the Mountain Sky product line! Available in both cabinet doors and drawer fronts, this is a great way to create a standout design that still maintains a classic look.
